Add a drop of iodine to food solution
Biuret
(CuSO4 + NaOH)

Add a few drops of copper sulphate (CuSO4) shake and wait, then and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to food solution
Benedict’s Solution
Sugar
With heat turns Brick-Red precipitate
Add a few drops of Benedict’s to food solution and heat gently of a bunsen
Ethanol Emulsion
Fats
White Emulsion
Add 2ml of ethanol to food solution and shake/mix, then add 2ml of water to solution and shake/mix
DCPIP
Vitamin C
Turns Colourless
Add a few drops of DCPIP to food solution and shake/mix then wait (NB: will turn pinky due to the presence of acid - false positive)

Term 1 Week 4 2020

Paper Dart Testing
In groups of three, you are going to try making a range of different paper darts and test how they perform in practice.

You are going to change the type of dart you make,
and also the length of the dart.
To test the darts, you will throw them in a repeatable way,
and measure two things.
You are going to both measure the distance it travels before it
touches the ground (not necessarily where it lands)
and the time it spends in the air before it hits the ground.
