Term 2 Week 2 2020

Newton's Three Laws of Motion
1. An object at rest will remain at rest, or an object moving at a constant velocity will remain moving at a constant velocity, unless acted upon by an unbalanced force (Net Force).
i.e. Only an unbalanced force (net force) can change an object's velocity (accelerate)
2. Net force = mass x acceleration
Fnet = ma
Fnet : Sum of all the forces - unit Newton (N)
m : Mass - unit kilogram (kg)
a : Acceleration - unit meter persecond squared (ms-2 )
3. Every action has an opposite and equal reaction on the other object

Why don't perpetual motion machines ever work?
